Getting ready for a craft fair can involve many steps. There may be quite a few details that can be overlooked, but may seem overwhelming when faced with them at the craft fair.
Here are a few things to remember.
- Do you have enough crafts?
- There is nothing worse than an empty booth. Try to talk to other crafters who have displayed at the show to judge the amount of items to bring.
- Use the foot traffic information that was supplied by the event coordinators to help you judge.
- It is better to have too much, but remember that anything that doesn't sell will have to be carried out.
- Do you have office supplies?
- Since you are doing business transactions, you will need to bring some very important office supplies.
- Credit Card Machine - or cell phone for Credit Card Processing
- Pens
- Stapler
- Scissors
- Cash to make change and a box to keep it in
- Paper
- Receipt Pad
- Bags or tissue for packaging.
- Calculator

- Do you have all of the Large Supplies?
- Table & Chairs
- Tent (if outside)
- Signs or Banner
- Displays (will vary depending on what you are displaying)
- Table cloth or covering.

There are always things that are not on this list, but this can help you get started. As you atend more and more craft fairs, you will find several items that will work better for you depending on the craft that you sell.
